Contrary to medical misinformation, scoliosis correction is effective and predictable through chiropractic care. Scoliosis is from the Greek word σκωλοσς [skoliosis] which means “crookedness”.
According to Taber’s Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary, 18th ed. [F.A. Davis Co.:
Philadelphia, PA, 1997; p.1727], scoliosis is a lateral curvature of the spine. It usually
consists of two curves: a primary abnormal curve, and a compensatory curve in the
opposite direction. Some chiropractors tend to use the term “scoliosis” to describe the
presence of any, if even slight, lateral curvature of the spine. However, such a loose
definition is a common misconception.

The purpose of this book is to organize and clarify the Pettibon Adjusting Procedures that are utilized in the clinical practice. The Pettibon Procedures are an advanced, scientific approach to Chiropractic that are taught as an elective or at postgraduate level. They exceed the standard chiropractic college curriculum. These procedures include progressive treatment plans.

Are we subluxation-based or scoliosis ignorant? As spinal experts, we sometimes miss the most obvious spinal problem –
scoliosis. This oversight may be due to ignorance, subluxation-focused, or the idea that if
we can’t fix it, then we shouldn’t recognize the scoliotic spine.
In Chiropractic, we need an alternative to bracing and surgery. That alternative is
Chiropractic care and spinal rehab.

Our recommended plan of treatment in detail. Scoliosis Care is provided at multiple Clinics approved by CLEAR Institute. The DC’s at www.clear-institute.com are available to provide treatment and

A detailed study of CLEAR Institute's methodology and it's proven effectiveness. Scoliosis is a dis-ease of the neuro-muscular skeletal system. The Medical “Gold
Standard of treatment which is bracing and surgery, has few positive results. As Spinal
Experts, the Chiropractic profession should take the lead in the correction and
stabilization of the Scoliotic patient.

It would appear that a loss of the cervical lordosis can cause an
anterior dorsal saucering
resulting in a lateral bending motion of the thoracic spine. Based on
this, posterior to
anterior thoracic adjusting in these areas would appear to be
contraindicated.

The purpose of this article is to provide insight into the status quo of women’s choices for births and their outcomes in America, and to contrast those choices with those of women in other countries. Primarily, this article will dispel some of the fears and concerns about home birth and the use of midwifery for delivery.

A recent study (1) indicated that the medical mystery of SIDS was solved. It
stated that “babies who die of SIDS have serious abnormalities in a brain region
that controls breathing and heart rate. The researchers found that all 31 SIDS
babies had defects in the brain's ability to use serotonin, a neurotransmitter that
plays a key role in regulating a baby's breathing and heart rate.” The team found
abnormalities in neurons that make or use serotonin in the lowest part of the
brainstem. Of course, the medical profession has a solution, but there is a
Chiropractic perspective.

Many patients with scoliotic curves over 30 degrees have seen reduction and stabilization of their scoliosis using this new protocol. In addition many patients experience symptom relief and measurable functional improvements as well. The program has been utilized with varying age groups with excellent clinical outcomes.

The combination of spinal manipulation and various physiotherapeutic procedures used to correct the curvatures associated with scoliosis have been largely unsuccessful. Typically, the goals of these procedures are often to relax, strengthen, or stretch musculotendinous and/or ligamentous structures. In this study, we investigate the possible benefits of combining spinal manipulation, positional traction, and neuromuscular reeducation in the treatment of idiopathic scoliosis.
